Here’s a nice little tiny house from premium builders Wheelhaus. Called RoadHaus, it’s shaped like a wedge and has an awesome roof that lets in lots of light thanks to all that glazing.
Canada’s Backcountry Hut Company recently unveiled its latest model, the Surf Shack. The flatpack tiny house is very easy to assemble and comes with a lot of options, including the ability to run on or off-the-grid.
Though at its most popular in North America, the small living movement is also growing in popularity across the pond. Baluchon is one of the more interesting firms producing homes in France at the moment. The Essen’Ciel is a nice example of its work and recently sold for around €60,000 (roughly US$65,000).
Our cities aren’t exactly likely to get less crowded any time soon but maybe tiny homes could be the answer to more affordable urban housing? That’s the idea behind the Tikku, by Casagrande Laboratories, which is a tiny house that fits into a parking space.
The classic teardrop camping trailer remains attractive and useful even after all these years. This particular example is called the Hütte Hut and offers a room with a view – plus some electricity too.
