The British shed scene is very similar to the tiny house movement, but more focused on DIY hobbyists. Each year a competition called the Shed of the Year aims to find the country’s best and this year’s winner is this mushroom-shaped tiny cabin.
The Mushroom House is based in a garden in Surrey, England and consists of two floors. The downstairs is a home office with vintage desk and seating, while steps and a trapdoor lead upstairs to a lounge area.
The upstairs is glazed with stained glass windows and also includes some glass on the floor so visitors can look at a stream below.
The Mushroom House also has a skylight and a small hammock chair is installed outside.
