So you’ve spent a night in the Malibu Dream Airstream and decided life in an aluminum trailer is for you? Good news, the Airstream has just revealed its newest camper, the Globetrotter. Featuring the trademark silver bullet exterior, it packs an updated, minimalist interior that sleeps a half-dozen people.
The Airstream Globetrotter measures 27 ft (8.2 m) and is based on a double-axle trailer.
Visitors enter into the dining area and kitchen galley, which includes Corian countertops, a three-burner stove, fridge and a slide-out pantry. Handcrafted cabinetry ensures there’s plenty of room for all your ingredients.
The Globetrotter sleeps six and its master bedroom boasts an adaptive foam mattress, panoramic windows that can be covered by blackout curtains at night. A Samsung HD TV offers entertainment.
A solar kit provides off-grid electricity wherever the Globetrotter is parked and a ducted air-con system keeps the interior at a comfortable temperature.
As you’ve probably guessed this particular model isn’t cheap – indeed we’d challenge you to find an Airstream that is – and starts at a cool US$99,900.
