Tiny houses must be relatively small so they can be legally used on the road, but the more space the better for the occupants. This is where the Aurora comes in: it’s a tiny house that expands in size at the push of a button so that it can be small when towed and big when parked up.
The Aurora is designed by Canadian company Zero Squared and measures just 26 ft (8 m) long. When being towed, it’s 8.6 ft (2.6 m) wide but when parked up the home’s slide-outs expand the house to 15.10 ft (4.6 m) wide.
The interior measures 374 sq ft (34.7 sq m) and includes a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. There’s a sofa in the living room and a dining area with expandable dining table.
The office is very interesting and includes a drop down bed that converts it into a bedroom.
The Aurora can run on or off the grid with a solar power and composting toilet setup and will set you back from $88,000.
