Prolific tiny house firm Escape has revealed its latest towable dwelling, the One XL. An upgrade of a smaller model named the One that draws cues from Japanese design, this luxury tiny house is very roomy and light-filled inside. It can also run on or off-the-grid.
The One XL is clad in Shou Sugi Ban wood, like the Greenmoxie, and has a total floorspace of roughly 400 sq ft (roughly 37 sq m). However, it’s only 30 ft (9.1 m) in length, so shouldn’t be too much of a challenge to tow. It’s also legal to pull this thing behind your truck on a US road without a permit.
The interior is contemporary and clean, and is centered around a large kitchen with full-size stainless steel appliances. A living room and bathroom are located either side, while the bathroom boasts a shower/bath.
There are two lofts in the One XL. The main loft is reached by a real staircase, while the secondary loft is accessed by ladder. Both look spacious and could potentially squeeze in multiple double beds.
The One XL can be upgraded with lots of available options including keyless entry, Blue Ray player, pop-up TV and more. As already mentioned, it can also run off-the-grid with a solar power and composting toilet setup.
The One XL starts at a pretty reasonable price of $69,800. Head over to Escape for more information.
