Zyl Vardos, the maker of the whimsical Moon Dragon tiny house, has designed another model that boasts similar distinctive lines and dramatic curves. The home also features a very large and unusual window box that ensures plenty of light inside.
The Damselfly House measures 24 ft (7.3 m)-long and 10 ft (3.5 m)-wide, with weight coming in at 12,000 lb (around 5,440 kg).
This one’s a real looker and Zyl Vardos spent a long time crafting that Onduvilla-tiled roof and an impressive 13 handmade wooden window frames.
The interior layout is quite compact and includes a living area with sofa, kitchenette with an eye-catching copper sink, and a bathroom with shower and composting toilet.
There’s a lot of light inside the Damselfly because of a couple of solar tubes in the roof. These bounce the sunlight down to the inside of the home to offer more light than windows or standard skylights.
There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the ground floor, while the second bedroom is accessed by storage-integrated stairs.
The Damselfly is currently up for sale for $106,500. Check it out on Zyl Vardos’ website.
