Most people associate drawbridges with grand old European castles but the Greenmoxie tiny house has an electric drawbridge-style deck that increases living space outside.
The Greenmoxie tiny house measures 340 sq ft (31.5 sq m) and is clad in Shou Sugi Ban treated cedar, like the Alpha Tiny House.
To access the home you must first lower the drawbridge with an electric winch and then use a combination lock. Besides being kinda neat, the whole point of this is that it allows the owners to enjoy a large semi-outdoor living space that can be stowed neatly away when it’s time to tow.
Once inside, the home looks spacious and light-filled thanks to large windows and an unfussy layout that includes a living room area and kitchen, with lots of shelving and counter space available. The bathroom includes a shower, sink, and a composting toilet.
Stairs with integrated storage space lead to a standard tiny house-style upstairs bedroom.
The Greenmoxie gets all its power from a roof based solar panel array and a water system is also installed that collects rain and filters it for drinking.
The Greenmoxie is sold now but cost around $75,000 to purchase. Contact the firm for more details.
