You’ve heard of sunroofs on cars, but La Tête dans les étoiles (or Head in the Stars) brings the same idea to a tiny house. The off-grid towable home also features solar panels and a rainwater collection system.

La Tête dans les étoiles’ exterior is clad in wood and features generous glazing
Designed by France’s Optinid, La Tête dans les étoiles is on the larger side for a Euro model, with a length of 7.2 m (23.6 ft), including a small terrace area. Its exterior is clad in spruce and it has a nice open layout inside with a living room featuring a daybed, plus a basic kitchen.

La Tête dans les étoiles opens up to the sunshine with a sliding roof
The loft bedroom is the standout feature, though. At first glance it looks like a pretty standard tiny house loft, however the roof can be unlocked and manually slid open when the weather is nice, or if the owner feels like sleeping under the stars.

La Tête dans les étoiles’ interior is snug but makes space for a daybed and a work area
Pricing starts at €54,000 (US$63,000).
