Modern Tiny Living doubles down on flexibility with its Shadow model. Though compact, the home features a living room that seats six, packs in tons of storage, and even doubles as an extra sleeping area.

The Shadow is based on a double-axle trailer and, at 24 ft (7.32 m), is definitely on the smaller side for a North American tiny house. It draws inspiration from farmhouse-style architecture and is finished in engineered wood for durability.
The home’s interior is arranged around its living area. Likened to a Swiss Army Knife by the firm, it’s raised and accessed by a few steps, with the extra height enabling a lot of storage inside. As mentioned, the area also seats up to six people, and transforms into a spare bed too.

Elsewhere on the ground floor is the kitchen. This is well-stocked with an oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, plus a breakfast bar for two with stool seating. The kitchen counter also connects onto a small desk area that serves as a home office. The bathroom is on the opposite side of the house to the living room and is quite compact, with a shower, flushing toilet, and a sink.

There’s just one bedroom in the Shadow and it’s reached by a staircase that adds even more storage with integrated cabinets. The room itself is a mezzanine-style loft with a double bed and some cabinets.

The Shadow is based on Modern Tiny Living’s Kokosing, with pricing starting at US$99,000.
