A lot of tiny houses nowadays are anything but, with many models approaching the size – and cost – of a city apartment. However, Baluchon’s Tiny House Nano recalls the small living movement’s humble roots with a towable home that measures a mere 3.3 m (10.8 ft) in length.
The Madeiguincho-designed Duna was commissioned by a customer who wanted to experience the comfort of a city apartment in a forest and combines space-saving design with superb timber craftsmanship.
Designers never seem to run out of new ideas for the humble tiny house. Case in point is the MO.CA (or Mobile Catalyst), which features a space-saving interior layout that opens up to the outside with operable walls.
Though Modern Tiny Living’s Cercaux only has a length of 20 ft (6 m), the tiny house punches above its weight with a flexible “Swiss Army Knife” living room.
Designers never seem to run out of good ideas for old shipping containers and the Cargo by Madeiguincho is a much more livable example of this than most.
