The Space by Ecocapsule is an extraordinary egg-shaped tiny house that measures just 8 sq m (88 sq ft). Despite its tiny footprint, it squeezes in a flexible layout suitable for up to two people.

The Space’s distinctive white fiberglass shell covers a steel frame with polyurethane foam insulation. Access to the interior is through a small sliding door.

Owing to its extremely compact size, the interior is very basic and seems best suited for glamping, or as a spare bedroom, office, or similar retreat. As standard, it contains just a single room with flooring and storage space. Optional extras include a bed, air-conditioning, additional furniture, and even a bathroom.

Power comes from a 200-W solar panel array mounted on a small telescopic pole and connected to onboard batteries. It can also be hooked up to the grid using a standard RV-style connection, while a rainwater harvesting system helps reduce reliance on external utilities.
The Space by Ecocapsule starts at €99,000 (US$112,000), with worldwide shipping available.
